Photo Grabbr lets you get hold of photos found on Flickr. Know of a user who takes great pictures, or a Flickr group that you really like? Photo Grabbr can download their pictures for you.
Once you open the app, just select your search criteria from the drop down menu, then type either the user name, ID or group name. Photo Grabbr is a little slow at searching, but once found it will bring up a list of all photosets.
Just check the ones you wish to have and press the download buttons. This can take a bit of time, as Photo Grabbr isn't the quickest of downloaders, and some photosets may contain a lot of pictures.
Make sure you've configured your preferences right so you know where the photos are being saved. Once done, they're all yours! Just make sure the Flickr user allows you to make use of them.
Photo Grabbr will not allow you to download videos from Flickr, which are only a very recent addition to the photo site. Hopefully later versions of the program will.
- Generates an XML file containing the descriptions and tags of photos downloaded as well as the set description if downloading a photo set.
- The tags associated with a photo are added to the Spotlight comments of the downloaded file.
- A sequential number is prepended to files downloaded to maintain the order in which they were downloaded in.
